(PRNDI) organization held its annual meeting in Cleveland, Ohio June 20-23, during which awards for 2012 were presented in a variety of categories to public radio stations from around the country. In a ceremony hosted by Scott Simon, host of 禁漫天堂鈥檚 Weekend Edition Saturday, 91.7 WVXU received three prestigious awards.
Awards are presented in divisions based on the size of the station鈥檚 news department. WVXU falls into Division B for Medium Sized Staff.
First Place: Newscast 鈥� for the election round-up newscast on November 7, 2012
First Place: Public Affairs Programming 鈥� for the Impact Cincinnati program discussing heroin abuse
Second Place: Commentary 鈥� for contributor David Delegator鈥檚 review of Bill Morgan's book The Typewriter is Holy: The Complete Uncensored History of the Beat Generation.
