An active shooter was reported at Dennis Intermediate School in Richmond, Ind., via the Richmond Community Schools' Twitter account Thursday morning. The teenage suspect is now dead, . There were no other students reported to be injured, police said.
Shooting at Dennis Middle School, Richmond, IN, in Wayne Co. has resulted in the death of the teenage suspect. No other students reported to be injured. Sgt. John Bowling will arrive shortly and will update media on where to meet for more info.

The suspect apparently ran into the building after an incident that began away from school grounds, the paper reports. It is unclear whether he was a student at the school. A spokesman for the Indiana State Police says the suspect killed himself when he was confronted by officers, according to the Associated Press.
As a precaution, and parents were advised not to go to Dennis Intermediate School; instead, where parents can pick children up.
Dennis students are being transported to Richmond High School. Parents must report to Civic Hall to pick up their student.

Richmond is about 50 miles west of Dayton, Oh., on Interstate 70.
