Dayton International Airport says , a subsidiary of the former US Airways and now part of American Airlines, will break ground Thursday on a $14 million expansion at the airport. The expansion is a new 69,000 square foot hangar that will house aircraft and act as an engine parts storage facility for the regional carrier. Earlier this year PSA finished building a 7,500 square foot operations control center.
PSA employs 440 people in Dayton and plans to hire another 42. The airline projects total local payroll at more than $20 million.
"The kick-off of the newest PSA expansion marks a great day for Dayton International Airport, but it's an even better day for the region," said Terrance Slaybaugh, airport director. "This hangar represents a continuing commitment by PSA to the airport and an investment in the future of Dayton."

Dayton's $14 million expansion is expected to be finished by the spring of 2016.
PSA Airlines, Inc. is the only airline currently based in Ohio. It has been headquartered in Dayton since 1987.
