is an ice cream social that provides micro-grants for innovative ideas in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The events are also entirely kid-friendly and lots of fun.
Local business professionals Kristine Frech and Erika Fiola got the idea for the event from similar projects done in other cities around the country. Cincy Sundaes take place a various locations around the area and gives the community the opportunity to directly fund ideas ranging from neighborhood music festivals to urban agriculture.
For $5, attendees can make a sundae with gelato from , listen to four presentations on innovative community ideas and vote on their favorite. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and the presentation with the most votes at the end of the evening will be awarded 100% of the money raised at the door. Additionally, will match the financial contribution dollar for dollar.
At the inaugural Cincy Sundae event at this past April, $1,730 was awarded to for their idea called ArtWalks.
