Thane Maynard talks with the 4 Barrows Conservation Lecture Series speakers

The is presenting its 23rd annual next month. Since 1993, the series has brought a slate of esteemed naturalists and scientists to Cincinnati to address wildlife issues and global conservation efforts. Joining us today with interviews of the speakers taking part in this year?'s lecture series is Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard.

Tico McNutt is the founder of the based in Botswana, and is considered the global expert on these animals and their dwindling numbers in Africa. He will be at the Cincinnati Zoo on April 1 as the first 2015 Barrows Lecture Series speaker.

Pratik Patel is an international advocate for species preservation, especially African elephants, and the founder of the . He will be speaking at the Cincinnati Zoo on April 15 as part of the Barrows Lecture Series.

Rebecca Klein is the founder and executive director of and will be in town to speak at the Cincinnati Zoo's Barrow Conservation Lecture Series on Wednesday, April 29.
