Community organizing has become a valuable way for individual residents who see a problem to find their voice and work towards finding a viable solution to that problem.
Most often, organizing takes place at the local level, where residents work together to bring attention to an issue, such as poor public safety, unaffordable housing or limited access to healthcare, and partner with local government leaders and agencies to affect positive change. Sometimes, these local efforts can grow into national movements.
On February 23, is presenting an all-day forum, , with prominent local organizers and a keynote address by Karen Hobert Flynn, president of Common Cause.
