In 2014, neighbors in Bond Hill and Roselawn began meeting regularly to discuss changing the course of their communities. What came out of those meetings is now taking shape in groundbreakings, demolitions and the first phases of development on a major revitalization project.
, formerly the Greater Cincinnati Redevelopment Authority, has been with neighbors every step of the way. The City of Cincinnati has provided The Port with capital funding for redevelopment in Bond Hill and Roselawn. This has included acquiring parcels of land and demolishing blighted structures to make way for new development with the goal of attracting microenterprise and neighborhood-serving businesses.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss Bond Hill and Roselawn revitalization initiatives are The Port Director of Commercial Development, Robert Sanders; Bond Hill & Roselawn Collaborative Executive Director and President Joyce Powdrill; President & CEO Gene Ellington; and President Carol Smith.
