Many people considered the as the heart of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, the tiny Ohio River town visited by thousands of people each year. A working store since 1831, the Rabbit Hash General Store was destroyed by fire last February.
Now efforts are underway to restore the structure, using materials and construction methods that will allow it to remain on the National Register of Historic Places.
