2018 is the 100th anniversary of the first publication of a kid's story, written by Covington native Robert Franc Schulkers.
These stories, with Northern Kentucky and the Licking River as the backdrop, were eventually turned into books and a radio show. The author's great-niece, Diane Schneider, is organizing the centennial celebration, including a riverboat ride, and joins John Kiesewetter with all the details.
