Purveyors of locally-made art supplies and music, presents as part of February's downtown celebration.
The Alphabet Show! is a fun and family-friendly exhibit that focuses on the identity, typography and cultural associations of each letter of the English alphabet - plus four common punctuation marks. Thirty regional and national artists have been asked to create a graphic interpretation of an individual letter.
"Each letter of the alphabet is a steadfast loyal soldier in a great army of words, sentences, paragraphs, and stories. One letter falls, and the entire language falters" -- Vera Nazarian
The exhibition is curated by Aaron Walker of Third Party Gallery and CS 13 and consists of all thirty original works as well as a pocket-sized alphabet book compilation, available for purchase.
The Alphabet Show! exhibit will be up through March 21st at Rock Paper Scissors, located at 1301 Main Street downtown.
